By accepting the work order or scheduled appointment, the Client agrees to the following terms and conditions.
CARPETS & UPHOLSTERY
Safety First
Walking from a wet carpet to a hard surface can be very slippery. For safety, please keep off freshly cleaned carpet and upholstery until fully dry. Most drying and fiber protection takes place during the first 4 hours.
We use long hoses and other equipment that could cause tripping hazards. It is advised to stay away from all cleaning equipment until the cleaning technician is done with their job. Failure to do so could result in injury.
Any hazardous materials or conditions must be reported before scheduling an appointment.
Furniture and Item Care
Do not place furniture or small items (lamps, chairs, tables, etc.) back onto cleaned carpet for at least 24 hours. Do not remove any pads or blocks placed under furniture by our technicians until the carpet is completely dry. Recommended wait is 48 hours.
Fiber Identification
It is the client’s responsibility to provide the fiber type for carpet and upholstery. Our technicians may attempt to identify fibers, but due to blends and variations in manufacturing, this cannot be guaranteed. Trosen Touch-Ups, LLC is not responsible for damage resulting from misidentified or misrepresented fibers.
Carpet Rippling
Rippling may occur due to moisture absorption in improperly installed carpets. This typically corrects itself within 72 hours. If not, it is likely due to installation, not the cleaning process.
Carbon Monoxide Alarms
Cleaning may increase humidity, potentially triggering carbon monoxide alarms. This is a harmless reaction and no cause for concern.
Stain & Odor Disclaimer
Some stains (e.g., dye, urine, rust) cannot be removed completely, even with professional treatment. Urine and pet stains can cause permanent damage and loss of color. Odors may intensify during cleaning due to fungus release but typically fade as drying completes.
Hazardous or Excessive Materials
If hazardous substances (e.g., mold, adhesives, excessive powders/cleaners) are detected, additional treatments may be required. Any extra work or return visits will incur additional costs not covered under the original estimate.
Preparation and Responsibility
Clients are responsible for moving heavy items such as beds, pianos, safes, etc., and for removing breakables or valuable personal items from service areas. Please alert our technicians to any fragile or unstable furniture. Trosen Touch-Ups is not responsible for damage caused by failure to remove or disclose such items.
Authorized Absence
If the client or authorized representative is not present during cleaning, our technicians will provide basic deep cleaning only. Special services must be arranged beforehand and confirmed in writing.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise arranged with our office. We accept major credit/debit cards and digital payment methods. Balances unpaid after 14 days are subject to a 10% monthly compounding interest charge. Collection fees, court costs, and attorney’s fees will be charged to the client in case of non-payment or default.
Cancellations
Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a minimum service fee. This fee also applies if:
Technicians are turned away upon arrival,
Access is denied or unsafe
Customer-provided information proves inaccurate.
Post-Cleaning Concerns
Clients must report reappearance of stains or odors within 5 days, and any moisture-related concerns within 24 hours.
